A pioneer of European Free Improvisation now living in Long Beach, Centazzo performs solo on percussion and electronics, with video.
Several bands of LA’s finest young musicians (ages 18-25) compete for a paid spot on the Angel City Jazz Festival. Each group will play a short set, then a panel of expert judges will select the winner. One musician will also receive a scholarship to the UC San Diego Jazz Camp.
This show will begin at 7 instead of 7:30, in order to accommodate all the contestants.

Cornetist Bobby Bradford brings his all-star band (with Vinny Golia, William Roper, Don Preston, Dave Tranchina, and Tina Raymond), for a set of original music. A major part of the LA jazz underground since the 1960s, Bradford has recorded as a leader and with Ornette Coleman, David Murray, John Carter, John Stevens, Nels Cline, and many others.
